    A protocol update to protocol version 8 is planned to take effect on mainnet on March 17th, 2025.

    New node software compliant with the protocol update (version 8.0.3) is released for Linux, Windows and MacOS, available here.

    Node runners must upgrade their nodes to version 8.0.3 before the new protocol takes effect. Nodes running earlier versions will stop processing new blocks at that point.
